Welcome to Learning Differently at The University of Sheffield

We are The Specialist SpLD/ Dyslexia Tutorial Service Team at The University of Sheffield. We have set up this blog as a way for students to share some of their experiences and perspectives on learning differently at uni.  

Each month we will feature (a) different student-author(s). Most of our contributors are studying at The University of Sheffield and all of them have an identification of specific learning difference like dyslexia. We will also include contributions from ex-students and from staff where appropriate. 

If you are hoping to study at The university of Sheffield, or if you are already here, these pages might give you an idea of some of the joys and challenges of learning when you have specific learning differences. You will also get to know some of the ways specialist tutorials can help students with SpLDs get the most out of their learning experience.
